BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla says, “we have to organise Cricket matches throughout the year”
BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla said Monday said Public has great apetite in cricket and matches have to organize throughout the year.
Speaking to ANI, he said, There is a great appetite (for Cricket) in people. They want to watch more cricket. So, we have to organise Cricket matches throughout the year because people demand it. There are bilateral tours as demanded by countries and then we have IPL season too."
On average, India plays 30–40 international matches per year, plus 70+ domestic matches, IPL (70+ games), and now WPL too.
So far, India has played five T20s and three ODIs from January to February, followed by the ICC Champions Trophy held from
February 19 to March 9, hosted by Pakistan/UAE. India is scheduled to tour England for a five-Test series from June 20 to August 4, and the schedule continues thereafter.
