Raj Singh Badhesha was appointed to serve as a Judge in the Fresno County Superior Court.

Raj Badhesha First Sikh Judge in Fresno County Superior Court: "Where there is a will, there is a way," the saying goes best with Raj Bandesha who has become the first Sikh Judge in the Fresno County Superior Court. 

The enrobing ceremony was held for new Fresno County Superior Court Judge Raj Badhesha, who happens to be the first Sikh judge in the county and even the first turban-wearing judge in the County. 

The City of Fresno, California, took to social media to share the pics and wrote: "Congratulations to former Fresno Assistant City Attorney Raj Singh Badhesha on formally becoming the newest Fresno County Superior Judge! Raj is the first person in more than four decades to go from City Hall straight to the Fresno County Superior Court."

Who is Raj Singh Badhesha, the Fresno County Superior Court Judge? 

Badhesha has served as Chief Assistant City Attorney in the Fresno City Attorney's Office since 2022 and has served in several roles there since 2012. He was an Associate at Baker Manock & Jensen from 2008 to 2012. Badhesha earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Jon N. Kapetan.
