The benefit will also apply to families who have a piped gas connection at their homes instead of LPG cylinders.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday announced that her government will provide free gas cylinders to all ration card holders on the occasions of Holi and Diwali.
She said the initiative will begin with this year’s Holi festival, and the amount will be directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
