Harjit Sajjan News Latest: RSFC (Team Mohali)- A Picture is going viral on social media. In this picture, a Sikh officer can be seen shaking hands with Canadian Cabinet Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan. It is being claimed that the Sikh officer who is shaking hands with Harjit Sajjan is the Defense Minister of Malaysia.
Facebook user "Jathedar Harnath Singh Jalalpur" shared the viral picture and wrote, "Two Sikh Defense Ministers of Canada and Malaysia are meeting each other."
Spokesman in its investigation found the viral post to be misleading. The Sikh officer who shook hands with Harjit Singh Sajjan is Ajeet Singh, Former President of Immigration Services Union Peninsular Malaysia.

No, This Sikh Is Not Malaysia's Defense Minister
We found this photo shared on a Facebook page named "Punjabi Radio USA" on April 26, 2017. The photo was captioned as, "S. Harjeet Singh Sajjan welcomed by Malaysian Sikh immigration officer S. Ajeet Singh."
According to available information, Malaysian Sikh immigration officer Ajeet Singh is accompanying Harjeet Sajjan.
Keeping this information in mind when we did open keyword search, we found this picture shared from the official Twitter account of Ajeet Singh. Ajeet had shared this picture on April 24, 2017 with the caption, "Welcoming @HarjitSajjan at the KLIA for his two days visit to Malaysia. Proud moments for us @sikhmalaysia @SikhInside @sikh"

According to the updated bio on Ajeet's account, Ajeet is the former president of the Immigration Services Union Peninsula Malaysia. This made it clear that the viral claim is misleading.
Current Defense Minister of Malaysia is "Mohammad Hassan" and before him, Nishamuddin Hussein was the Defense Minister of Malaysia. Along with this, the current Defense Minister of Canada is Bill Blair.
