Donald Trump Calls India a “Dead Economy” & Says U.S. Has “Done Very Little Business with India”

Donald Trump Calls India a “Dead Economy”  Latest News: U.S. President Donald Trump, on Thursday, made his harshest remarks yet against India, calling its economy “dead” and stating that he does not care what India does with Russia.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I don’t care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India, their Tariffs are too high, among the highest in the World.”

He continued, “Likewise, Russia and the USA do almost no business together. Let’s keep it that way, and tell Medvedev, the failed former President of Russia, who thinks he’s still President, to watch his words. He’s entering very dangerous territory!”

These remarks came just a day after Trump had referred to India as a “friend” in a post on the same social media platform.

Yesterday on July 30, in another post on Truth Social, Trump said India has “the most strenuous and obnoxious non-monetary Trade Barriers of any Country.” Additionally, he criticized India for purchasing the “vast majority” of its military equipment from Russia and claimed India is “Russia’s largest buyer of ENERGY.”

“Remember, while India is our friend, we have, over the years, done relatively little business with them because their Tariffs are far too high, among the highest in the World, and they have the most strenuous and obnoxious non-monetary Trade Barriers of any Country. Also, they have always bought a vast majority of their military equipment from Russia, and are Russia’s largest buyer of ENERGY, along with China, at a time when everyone wants Russia to STOP THE KILLING IN UKRAINE — ALL THINGS NOT GOOD! INDIA WILL THEREFORE BE PAYING A TARIFF OF 25%, PLUS A PENALTY FOR THE ABOVE, STARTING ON AUGUST FIRST," Trump's post read.

In a separate post earlier today, Thursday, July 31, Trump said the White House is busy working on trade deals. “I have spoken to the Leaders of many Countries, all of whom want to make the United States ‘extremely happy.’”

Pakistan Will Be Selling Oil to India Someday: Trump

Trump also announced that the U.S. has concluded a deal with Pakistan, “whereby Pakistan and the United States will work together on developing their massive Oil Reserves. We are in the process of choosing the Oil Company that will lead this Partnership. Who knows, maybe they’ll be selling Oil to India some day!”

He added, “Likewise, other Countries are making offers for a Tariff reduction. All of this will help reduce our Trade Deficit in a very major way. A full report will be released at the appropriate time. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

U.S. Finalizes Trade Deal with South Korea

Meanwhile, the United States has agreed to “a Full and Complete Trade Deal with the Republic of Korea,” Trump announced today.

“South Korea will give to the United States $350 Billion Dollars for Investments owned and controlled by the United States, and selected by myself, as President. Additionally, South Korea will purchase $100 Billion Dollars of LNG, or other Energy products and, further, South Korea has agreed to invest a large sum of money for their Investment purposes. This sum will be announced within the next two weeks when the President of South Korea, Lee Jae Myung, comes to the White House for a Bilateral Meeting. I would also like to congratulate the new President on his Electoral Success. It is also agreed that South Korea will be completely OPEN TO TRADE with the United States, and that they will accept American product including Cars and Trucks, Agriculture, etc. We have agreed to a Tariff for South Korea of 15%. America will not be charged a Tariff. I would like to thank the Trade Representatives who came forward today. It was an Honor to meet them, and talk about the Great Success of their Country!” Trump wrote.
