Canada, 26th Feb'18: Jagmeet Singh won the Burnaby South byelection on Monday night, approx 18 months after winning the federal NDP leadership.

Jagmeet Singh captured 38.7 per cent of the vote with 182 of 196 polls reporting. Liberal candidate Richard T. Lee is in second place and Conservative candidate Jay Shin is in third.
