Initiative identifies and celebrates individuals between the ages of 8 & 16

WASHINGTON: The Remarkable efforts of 17 young environmental activists, hailing from various corners of the globe, have garnered them the coveted 2023 "International Young Eco-Hero" awards. Among this esteemed group of winners, five passionate young individuals from India have been recognized for their proactive endeavors in addressing some of the world's most critical environmental challenges.

The "International Young Eco-Hero" awards, bestowed by Action for Nature, a prominent US-based nonprofit organization (NGO), acknowledge the dedicated contributions of young environmental champions. Eha Dixit from Meerut, Manya Harsha from Bangalore, Nirwan Somani, Mannat Kaur from New Delhi, and Mannat Kaur from Mumbai are the Indian recipients who have made substantial strides in advocating for environmental preservation and sustainability.

The Initiative identifies and celebrates individuals between the ages of 8 and 16 who have displayed remarkable commitment to addressing pressing environmental issues. A panel of experts encompassing fields such as ecology, biology, and education thoughtfully selects the recipients of the "International Young Eco-Hero" accolades.

Throughout its two-decade history, Action for Nature has recognized and honored a total of 339 environmental heroes from 27 different countries and 32 US states. The organization's tireless dedication to showcasing the exemplary contributions of young advocates underscores its commitment to fostering a global movement for positive environmental change.
