Spokesman has found the viral claim misleading in its investigation. This video is not recent but old and no media report has described the drowning people as illegal migrants.

Old Video And No Illegal Migrants
We found several official reports on this matter. According to an October 2024 report by Al Jazeera, this incident is from Republic Of Congo. The report does not mention anywhere that people who drowned were illegal migrants on Dunki Route.
