Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif on India's Operation Sindoor Latest War News Today: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a strong rebuke to India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, which targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), calling it a “cowardly act of war” by a “cunning enemy.” In a televised address to the nation, Sharif claimed that India had attacked five locations in Pakistan and vowed a forceful retaliation.

"The treacherous enemy has launched a cowardly attack on five locations within Pakistan. This heinous act of aggression will not go unpunished. Pakistan reserves the absolute right to respond decisively to this unprovoked Indian attack — a resolute response is already underway. The entire nation stands united behind its armed forces, and our morale and resolve remain unshaken. Our thoughts and prayers are with the brave officers and soldiers of Pakistan. The people of Pakistan and its forces are fully prepared to confront and defeat any threat with our strength and determination. The enemy will never be allowed to achieve its malicious aims," said Pak PM Shehbaz Sharif.

India’s Operation Sindoor, launched earlier today, targeted nine terrorist sites in response to the brutal Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, 2025, which killed 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national. Indian authorities have maintained that the operation was focused, measured, and non-escalatory, deliberately avoiding Pakistani military facilities to demonstrate restraint. However, Sharif’s statement notably contradicts India’s account, claiming only five locations were targeted and framing the operation as an act of aggression.

The Pakistani Prime Minister’s remarks come amid heightened tensions and a wave of misinformation from Pakistani media, including false claims of a retaliatory attack on India’s Srinagar airbase, which were debunked by the Jammu and Kashmir Police at 2:30 AM IST. India has yet to formally respond to Sharif’s statement, but a detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor is scheduled for later today, where Indian officials are expected to clarify the scope and intent of the operation. The international community is closely monitoring the situation, with calls for de-escalation and restraint to prevent further deterioration of India-Pakistan relations.

Sharif’s vow of a “forceful response” has raised concerns about potential escalation, though no credible reports of Pakistani retaliation have emerged as of now. The Indian government has urged citizens to rely on verified information and reiterated its commitment to countering terrorism while maintaining regional stability.
