Local officials have reported that the ruin was discovered in the town of Ampatuan. All four bodies were seriously recovered from the crash site. Ameer Jehad Tim Ambolodto, a provincial safety officer, shared that authorities are withholding the victims’ identities to give their families time to be notified and grieve privately.

"The incident occurred during a routine mission in support of US-Philippine security cooperation activities," the Indo-Pacific Command noted in a pitiful statement about the crash on Mindanao island.

In a severe declaration, the US military confirmed that there were no survivors. A provincial disaster officer, recounted to the Associated Press that witnesses saw smoke and heard an explosion before the aircraft tragically crashed less than a kilometer from a cluster of farmhouses. No residents were injured, but a water buffalo was lost in the impact, adding to the sorrow of the event.

Police and military personnel have secured the area to ensure a thorough and uncontrolled investigation. Details about the aircraft and its mission remain undisclosed, adhering to stringent security protocols.

The Philippine military has also refrained from providing additional information regarding the crash, citing the classified nature of the matter. A regional spokesperson, Jopy Ventura, informed the French wire agency AFP that officers are yet to determine the cause of the crash.
