Mianwali Airbase Attack Viral Video Fact Check News: RSFC (Team Mohali)- On 4 November 2023, Pakistan’s Air Force Station Mianwali has been attacked by militants. After this, Pakistani Army claimed that they had killed 9 militants. Now regarding the attack, a video is going viral on social media in which an aircraft can be seen burning. It is being claimed that this video of the plane burning is from the recent terrorist attack on Pakistan's Mianwali airbase.

A Punjabi media outlet live on this incident wrote, 'Terrorist Attack In Pakistan, Attack On Pakistan's Mianwali Airbase'. This video has also been shared by many reputed media organizations with the same claim. Screenshot can be seen below:

Spokesman in its investigation found the viral post to be misleading. This viral video is not recent but old when people damaged government property after the arrest of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Keeping this information in mind, when we did open news search, we found many news related to this matter.

"What was the real matter?"

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan was dramatically arrested on corruption charges on 9 May 2023, following which Imran's supporters staged violent protests and protesters damaged government property. According to the news of Hindustan Times and Business Standard, the F-6 dummy aircraft given to Pakistan by China was set on fire by the protesters at Mianwali airbase.
