According to a report published in a daily newspaper, the team of doctors at London's Guise and St. Thomas Hospital and King's College believe that pain killer and anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen can improve breathing problems of patients.

Some doctors in Britain hope that very cheap medicine will provide relief to corona patients and reduce the need to keep them on ventilator. During the trial, half the corona patients are being given ibuprofen medicine along with general treatment.

In a study done on animals, it was revealed that ibuprofen can improve the condition of patients experiencing acute respiratory distress syndrome. This problem is prominent among the most severe patients of the corona virus.

Professor of King's College London, Mitul Mehta said that we are doing the trial so that we can see that what we are expecting will actually happen. Some time ago the UK Commission on Human Medicine said after its study that ibuprofen is as safe as paracetamol.
