Zelenskyy: No Apology Owed
When asked if he owed Trump an apology, Zelenskyy was firm in his response: “No. I respect the President, and I respect the American people. I’m not sure we did anything wrong.”

Dismissing speculation that the Oval Office clash was pre-planned, he described the discussion as “really tough” and questioned the state of U.S.-Ukraine relations. “Where is our friendship?” he asked.

Ukraine’s Commitment to Security and Peace

Zelenskyy reaffirmed his commitment to justice and lasting peace, emphasizing that the mineral deal was part of Ukraine’s security guarantee structure.

When Fox News host Bret Baier raised concerns about Trump’s relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Zelenskyy avoided direct criticism. “I want him to be in the middle. I want him to be on our side,” he said.

Path Forward for U.S.-Ukraine Relations

Despite Friday’s heated exchange, Zelenskyy expressed a willingness to move forward with Trump, stating, “Yes, of course,” when asked about the possibility of mending ties.

Concluding the interview, Zelenskyy voiced regret over the dispute but stopped short of issuing an apology. “We are thankful and sorry for this. I mean it—we wanted very much to have strong relations,” he said.
