Nowcast, Uttarakhand Weather Update August 25 (Valid Till 6 PM): The Met Centre, Dehradun, has issued yellow alerts for several districts of Uttarakhand in its nowcast. The predictions in the nowcast are valid up to 6 pm this evening.
Yellow Alert: Met Centre Dehradhun has issued yellow alerts for 10 districts of the state, warning of light to moderate rainfall in its nowcast. The districts under the yellow alert are Uttar Kashi, Dehradhun, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garhwal, Haridwar, Almora, Nainital, Champawat, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh.
No alerts have been issued in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, and Udham Singh Nagar in the nowcast.
Uttarakhand Weather Forecast for the Entire Day for August 25:
In its forecast, the India Meteorological Department, Dehradhun, has issued orange alerts in Uttar Kashi and Dehradhun, warning of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and related weather conditions.
The rest of the districts are under a yellow alert, warning of heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and related weather conditions.
Uttarakhand Weather Observed in the past 24 hours
In the past 24 hours, as reported at 8:30 in the morning today, Pithoragarh received the maximum rainfall in the state of 18.4 mm.
Weather Outlook For August 25 and for The Next Few Days:
The entire Uttarakhand is placed under a yellow alert for the next few days till August 29, predicting heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, squalls, and related weather conditions.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to continue over Northwest India till 26th August and reduce thereafter, IMD informed in its latest updates.
Isolated heavy rainfall is predicted over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during the next 7 days. However, light to moderate rainfall is expected in most places in Northwest India in the next seven days.
