Vikasnagar (Uttarakhand), July 16 – Terrifying scenes unfolded in Uttarakhand’s Vikasnagar as a massive landslide struck the Kalsi-Chakrata road amid ongoing debris clearance operations. The incident occurred when sudden tremors were observed on the hillside. Initially, a few stones began to tumble down, but within moments, it appeared as though a flood of debris had been unleashed.

Authorities acted swiftly, halting vehicular movement on both sides of the road just in time, potentially preventing casualties. However, stones continued to fall from the hill for a prolonged period, triggering panic among onlookers and commuters.

In a separate incident in the same region, a car was swept away by a strong water current. The vehicle veered off the road and got lodged below the surface, narrowly avoiding a major tragedy. Eyewitnesses at the scene quickly rushed to the driver's aid and managed to rescue him safely after a strenuous effort.

A chilling video capturing the intensity of the landslide and the car being swept away has also surfaced, highlighting the severity of the weather conditions prevailing in Uttarakhand.
