Uttarakhand Weather Forecast: IMD Predicts Heavy Rain, Thunderstorm in Several Districts

Uttarakhand Weather Forecast latest updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain, light to moderate rain, and thunderstorms at isolated places in Dehradun on June 11. Surface winds may be strong and gusty (30-40 kmph) during daytime in the plains of Uttarakhand.
IMD has also warned of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 38°C, while Mukteshwar recorded the lowest temperature of 16.8°C today.
In its warning, IMD stated, “Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning / intense to very intense spell of rain / gusty winds (40-50 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Almora, Nainital, Champawat, and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand.”

It further added, “Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning / gusty winds (40-50 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, and Udham Singh Nagar districts of Uttarakhand.”

Additionally, light to moderate rain / thunderstorm is likely to occur at many places in Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts. Similarly, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are likely at a few places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Almora, Nainital, and Champawat districts, and at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, and Udham Singh Nagar.

Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning, intense to very intense spells of rain, and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) is likely at isolated places in the hilly regions as well as other remaining districts of Uttarakhand.
