A 24-year-old man Surjeet Singh died under mysterious circumstances and his family members have alleged that he was killed by a friend who gave him some poisonous substance.
According to the police, it appears to be an overdose of intoxicants. Jodh Singh, the deceased’s brother said that his brother came home from work at 7 pm.
At about 9 pm, he left the house saying that he was going to his friend Sunny’s house as he had received his call. He said that when he did not return home and his mobile was also switch off they started searching for him.
Jodh said that early in the morning, they got information that Surjeet’s
body was lying at Sunny’s residence. When they reached the place, they
saw bloodstains on his face.
Jodh said that Surjeet used to drink liquor earlier. But four months ago, he stopped drinking and became a baptised Sikh. Jodh alleged Surjeet has been murdered.
Meanwhile, the body has been sent for the post-mortem for the further investigation.
