A woman and her son were murdered with sharp-edged weapons during a clash between two families in Mamdot. The deceased have been identified as Gurmel Singh (30) and his mother Nishan Kaur.
Joginder Singh, brother-in-law of Gurmel Singh, said they had a dispute with Mohinder Singh and his family over a cattle feed store.

Mohinder, his brother and sons allegedly attacked with swords and other sharp-edged weapons. When other family members tried to intervene, they were also attacked and killed.
All accused escaped from the spot after the crime.
A search has been launched to nab the accused.
The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem examination.
