Two youths died in road accident

Two youths were killed and their friend was seriously injured in an accident near Attowal village on the Hoshiarpur-Phagwara road. The deceased have been identified as Rohit Kumar (16) of Sunet village in Ludhiana and Ashok Kumar (22) of Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana. 

The accident took place when their motorcycle hit a truck from the rear due to heavy fog while they were on their way to Chintpurni shrine with friends.

Rohit is survived by his parents and a sister, while Ashok is survived by his parents and eight siblings. Ashok had not informed his parents when he left with his friends.

Rohit’s father Ram Shankar is a daily-wage labourer, while Ashok’s father is a peon in a private school. They used to work at a parlour in Model Town.

The police handed over the bodies of the two youths to the families after their post-mortem examination. 

After attending a jagran in their home town they left for Chintpurni shrine and around 02:30 A.M due to heavy fog they hit a truck from behind. Rohit and Ashok were killed on the spot whereas their friend was seriously injured.
