Two labourers were crushed to death near Balad
Kalan village on the Sangrur-Patiala road when a truck coming from wrong
side tried to take a turn towards Sangrur.

As per information, the labourers — Sukhchain Singh (34) and Jagpal Singh (32) — were coming to Bhawanigarh on a motorcycle from Kalajhar village. When they reached near Balad Kalan village, truck driver Avtar Singh, who was coming from the Patiala side, crushed them and they died on the spot.
Avtar Singh was driving the truck on the wrong side. He has been
arrested,” ASI Gurmale Singh, posted at Bhawanigarh police station,
said.

The police have registered a case against the truck driver under
Sections of 279, 304-A and 427 of the IPC.
