Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has changed the timings of all schools in the state owing to dense fog. Now, as per the new timings the schools would open at 10 AM and close at 3.20 PM. Earlier, the schools used to open at 9 AM.
The changed timings would take effect from 4th January and would be in force till 15th January, 2018.
Disclosing this here today in a statement, the Punjab Education Minister Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary said that the school timings in some districts were changed due to foggy conditions whereas in other districts the timings were the same as before.
Now, the timings of all the schools have been changed. The decision would be reviewed on 15th January considering the weather conditions and in case any new directions are not issued regarding the change in timings then from 16th January the school timings would remain same as before.
