Three people were killed and one sustained serious injuries in two road accidents in the district. The deceased were Raman Kumar, Sarwan Kumar and Surjit Singh. The injured, Jagroop Singh, was referred to the PGI in Chandigarh.
The police said around 6.30 am, tipper loading a road-roller was going on Nurpur Bedi-Bunga Sahib road when electricity
wires got entangled with road-roller near Bassi village.
Due to this, the
electric pole connected with the wires fell on the road hitting Raman
and Sarwan who were going to work on a motorcycle. They were taken to
the Anandpur Sahib Civil Hospital, where doctors declared them brought
dead.
In another incident, Surjit Kumar of Anandpur
Sahib was killed and Jagroop Singh injured when their motorcycle hit a
truck from behind on the Anandpur Sahib-Nangal road last evening.
The cases regarding the same has been registered and they have started the further investigation.
