Amritsar: The Sikh Coordination Committee of the Governing Committees of the United States announced that the new President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Gobind Singh Longowal would be opposed to the visit of the US and would be stopped from speaking on the stages. 

Coordination Committee coordinator Himmat Singh said that there was a meeting of the committee members on this matter. He said that the newly created president of the SGPC had gone to Dera Sirsa for earning votes, so he was also got salaries from Akal Takht. He said that it was even more unfortunate that Sukhbir Singh Badal, President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), had entrusted Bibi Jagir Kaur for the assignment of Longowal during the General Assembly. They said that Bibi Jagir Kaur had already been sentenced by the court in the case of a murder of her daughter. 

Proposing a name for such controversial people is a matter of shame for the Sikh community. He said that the Sikh Coordination Committee, however, did not recognize Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh but only a few days ago, Gobind Singh Longowal and others were paid salaries in the matter of going to Dera Sacha Sirsa. It is also a big mistake to ask the Sikh leader to vote for the anti-Sikh Dera Sirsa. It is a violation of Panthak traditions that make him the president of the SGPC. 

They also alleged that Hindu Wadi Jamaat RSS Attempts are being made to create confusion in the Sikh community, and the appointment of a new president is also part of this. In the meeting, only Singh Sidhu, Harjinder Singh, Veer Singh Mangat, Davinder Singh and others were included in the meeting. It is to be mentioned here that earlier, several other Panthak organizations had opposed the newly formed Gobind Singh Longowal of the Shiromani Committee.
