Chandigarh: Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore will unfurl the national flag on the 69th Republic Day at the state-level function to be held at Pathankot while Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will hoist the tricolour at Patiala.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said that Captain Amarinder had also deputed his Cabinet colleagues to preside over the Republic Day celebrations at various district headquarters.

Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Rana KP Singh will hoist the national flag at Jalandhar, Health & Family Welfare Minister Brahm Mohindra at Bathinda, Local Government Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu at Sangrur, Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal at Ludhiana, Forests Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot at Amritsar, Rural Development & Panchayats Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa at Hoshiarpur, Irrigation & Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh at Faridkot, and Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi at Gurdaspur.

The spokesperson further said that Minister of State for Education Aruna Chaudhary would unfurl the national flag at Ropar, Minister of State for Public Works Razia Sultana at Fatehgarh Sahib, and Deputy Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Ajaib Singh Bhatti at Moga.
