Chandigarh: Senior Congress leader and former MLA from Raikot Harmohinder Singh Pradhan (70) passed away following a prolonged illness on Saturday morning. Captain Amarinder Singh has lamented the death of former MLA from Raikot and senior Congress leader Harmohinder Singh Pradhan, who passed away today morning.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that in his death, the Congress party had lost an experienced leader, who believed in value-based politics with a clear ideology. He described Pradhan as a fine human being and an upright politician, besides a disciplined soldier for his part.
Pradhan played a pivotal role in ensuring overall development of the state especially Raikot assembly segment, said the Chief Minister, adding that his outstanding services as an MLA would always be remembered by his constituents, the party and the state. The Chief Minister shared his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family.
