Pb govt committed to transforming edu sector: Minister

Mohali: The Punjab government is committed to transforming the education sector in the state to ensure that every section of the society gets access to quality education, state minister Aruna Chaudhary said here today.


She said efforts were being made by the state government to revolutionise the education sector to make sure that students from economically weaker section of the society can have access to education.

"The government is committed to transforming education sector... we want to ensure that every section of the society gets access to quality education and make a mark in his/her chosen field," the state education minister said at an event here.

She handed over appointment letters to 77 dependents of deceased employees of the education department, on compassionate grounds and exhorted them to discharge their duty with utmost dedication and professionalism.  PTI
