A Look Out Circular (LOC) notice was already issued by the Patiala Police against the accused, the police said. Acting on an input provided by the Intelligence Wing of the Punjab Police, the Patiala Police nabbed the accused from the airport, the police said.

"The accused was one of the masterminds of the Nabha jailbreak case and was instrumental in providing logistical support, managing finances and providing hideouts to the gangsters involved in the Nabha Jail break case," a police official said.   Singh was allegedly involved in a number of heinous crimes, including extortion, drugs, and a number of cases were registered against him across Punjab.

The accused was also allegedly handling Facebook profiles of notorious gangsters Harjinder Singh alias Vicky Gounder and the Shera Khuban Group and was repeatedly using this platform for issuing threats or statements on behalf of the gangsters, the police said. Singh was remanded to three-day police custody by the court in Patiala.   "The custodial interrogation of the accused is likely to throw light on the Nabha jailbreak case conspiracy and other heinous crimes committed in the state," a police official said.
