Moga accident: Punjab CM announces ex gratia

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh today announced Rs 1 lakh ex gratia each for the kin of those killed in a road accident in Moga district yesterday, an official said.

Five people were killed and six others were injured when their jeep rammed into a tree on the Baghapurana-Bhagta Bhai Ka Road in the district. Expressing shock and anguish over the accident, the chief minister directed district authorities to ensure medical treatment free of cost for the injured, an official spokesman said here.


He also announced an ex gratia of Rs 1 lakh for the kin of those killed in the accident, he said. Singh also directed the district's administration and the police to extend all possible help to the family members of the victims, the spokesman said.
