Chandigarh: A 14-year-old girl, who had come to the city from Parwanoo along with her friend, was allegedly gangraped by her friend and three other youths in Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh Police have registered a case at the Sector 34 police station and arrested one of the accused.
According to the sources, the victim told the police that she had come from Parwanoo
in Himachal Pradesh four days ago along with her friend.
The victim’s friend, along with three others, gangraped her on Saturday.
The police were informed about the incident following which the victim’s friend was arrested by the police.
The sources said the other three accused had been identified by the police and efforts were being made to arrest them. A case of gang rape and under Sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered at the Sector 34 police station.
