However, the police said the boy appeared to have been allegedly strangulated to death. On the complaint of the father, a murder case has been registered against the man, who has been arrested, Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner of Police Dhruman Nimble said.

The DCP said there was no injury on the body of the victim. “He seems to have been strangulated to death. But the exact cause of the death will be ascertained after the postmortem,” the DCP added.
