Government agencies and private millers procure 17225648 tonnes of paddy till today

The Punjab Government agencies and private millers have procured total 17225648 tonnes of Paddy in Punjab till today evening which included 90870 tonnes procured on 18th November.

Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesman of Punjab Government said that out of total procurement of 17225648 tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, the Government agencies procured 16967451 tonnes of paddy (98.5%) till date whereas 258197 tonnes (1.5%) of paddy has been procured by millers.

He said that Pungrain had procured 5721563 tonnes (33.2%), Markfed procured 3754741 tonnes (21.8%). PUNSUP procured 3692488 tonnes (21.4%), PSWC procured 1714283 tonnes (10.0%) and PAFC was able to procure 1713823 tonnes (9.9%) of paddy. The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 370553 tonnes (2.2%).
