Four killed in road accident in Punjab

Abohar (Pb): Four people, including two minors, were killed when their car fell into a minor irrigation canal near Burj Muhar village here today, an official said.

The incident occurred when they were on their way to Hisar after attending a wedding ceremony at Rorianwali village in Abohar, he said.


The police said the car driver failed to see the canal because of fog and smog in the morning.

Though the driver managed to come out of the vehicle, four other car occupants drowned in the canal, the official said.

The deceased were identified as Imi Lal, his two sons Manav and Kailash and one relative Deepak, he added.
