On the occasion of World Diabetes Day 14 th Nov., 2017, under the able guidance of Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal, a lecture on “Women and Diabetes” was organized by Community Hygiene and Public Health Society, PGGCG-11.
The lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Bhadada, Department of Endocrinology, PGI, who is the member of Punjab Chapter Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI).
Dr. Sanjay Bhadada enlightened the students about the increasing risk of diabetes in women. About 130 students attended the lecture and lot of queries were answered by the speaker. A poster competition and a PowerPoint Presentation competition was also held and results are as follows:
