Court sent Johal to judicial custody till January 20

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today produced UK citizen Jagtar Singh Johal, alias Jaggi Johal, in a special NIA court in Mohali.

The court sent Johal to judicial custody till January 20 in the murder case of Hindu outfit leader Durga Dass Gupta, who was shot dead by two motorcycle-borne assailants in April 2016.

The NIA also sought the custody of Johal in connection with the murder of senior RSS leader Ravinder Gosain.

The court sent the accused to NIA remand for five days till December 26.
