Committee set up for Guru Gobind Singh's birth anniversary celebrations

Chandigarh: Acting on the directives of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, the state government has set up a committee to plan and execute programmes and events to commemorate the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh. The committee was entrusted with the task of organising symposiums and exhibitions as part of Guru Gobind Singh's birth anniversary celebrations, an official release said here yesterday.

This includes events at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Punjabi University, Patiala on December 21, 22 and 23, respectively. The committee comprises additional chief secretary (development), additional chief secretary (higher education), vice-chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, vice-chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala and vice-chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
