CM condoles death of former MP Mohinder Singh Kalyan

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has expressed profound grief over the demise of veteran Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Mohinder Singh Kalyan, who died in Ludhiana this morning after a brief illness.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister extended his sympathies to the bereaved family.

Captain Amarinder described Mr. Kalyan as a disciplined and committed soldier of the party, besides being a true votary of the downtrodden and oppressed sections of the society.

Captain Amarinder Singh said that throughout his political career, the former Rajya Sabha MP and former Chairman of SC Cell of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee worked tirelessly to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and for the well-being of the unprivileged sections of the society.

The veteran Congress leader from Ludhiana was Rajya Sabha MP from the state during 1992-1998.
