Beant Singh massacre: Tara admits that he connected bomb on Dilawar's body

Chandigarh: During the ongoing trial against Jagtar Singh Tara in Budal Jail in the former CM Beant Singh murder case of Punjab, on Monday, statements of Tara were registered under section 313 of the CrPC. In a statement recorded in the court, Tara said that he had only connected the bomb on the body of Dilawar.

At the same time, before the blast, he did Aradas for his success. The next hearing of the case will be on January 15. His remaining statements will be recorded on the same day. During the ongoing trial in the Additional District and Sessions Court court, about 20 questions were asked to Tara about the killing of prosecutor CBI prosecutor's prosecutor. In response to this, Tara said that on August 31, 1995, he went to the CM house with Rajoana find out if he was there or not. 


After that, he went to Mohali and came back to CM residence with Dilawar Singh. Tara came here to connect the bomb in the body of Dilawar's body. After this, they met together for Aradas. According to Tara, Dilawar went to Punjab Secretariat and Rajoana went after him with a scooter. He parked the car near Haryana Secretariat and he left the place immediately and left from there. After this Rajoana got him for a few minutes and both of them escaped from there.

Tara caught the bus from Chandigarh to Delhi at 9 p.m. On reaching there, he came to know that Beant Singh's death has been done. In the bomb blast near the Punjab Civil Secretariat building on August 31, 1995, the then CM of Punjab Beant Singh was murdered. In this blast, 17 other people were also killed.

KLV's Dilawar Singh Jaisinghwala had done this suicide attack. The warrant court had issued the execution of Balwant Singh Rajoana, convicted in this massacre, on March 31, 2012, in Patiala jail. However, for some reason, the Central Government had banned this decision. Case trial against Jagtar Singh Tara is undergoing final phase.
