Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh had pronounced the sentence

Sukhbir Singh Badal Tankhaiya News: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, who was declared Tankhaiya after a meeting of 5 Sikh Sahibs at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, reached Amritsar to appear before the highest institutions of the Sikh body. 

Former SAD ministers Daljit Singh Cheema, Gulzar Singh Ranike and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon also accompanied Sukhbir Singh Badal as they appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib. It is believed that after the order from Sri Akal Takht Sahib, he came with his clarification and apology.

Yesterday, Jathedar Gaini Raghbir Singh asked him to give his answer before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as he was declared Tankhaiya (guilty of religious misconduct).

Sukhbir Badal has been pronounced the religious sentence yesterday on Friday. Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib had pronounced Sukhbir Tankhaiya. Sukhbir Badal was accused of forgiving Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim, appointing Sumedh Saini as DGP and not taking action in the case of the desecration of Shri Guru Granth Sahib during his government.

While giving the verdict, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh had said - "While being Akali Dal chief and Deputy CM, Sukhbir Badal took some such decisions, which damaged the image of the Panthic form. The Sikh sect suffered a huge loss. Sikh cabinet ministers from 2007 to 2017 should also give their explanation."
