An Inspiring Journey of Resilience & Achievement: 8-Year-Old Sanvi Sood Shines in the World of Mountaineering

CHANDIGARH: Sanvi Sood, an 8-year-old girl hailing from Punjab, has once again made her mark in the world of mountaineering by hoisting the tricolor on Russia's highest peak, Mount Albers, at a staggering height of 5642 meters. Sanvi's incredible achievement makes her the youngest girl in the world to conquer this majestic summit. Prior to this feat, she had already achieved significant milestones by conquering Mount Everest Base Camp, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Kojiasco, showcasing her remarkable mountaineering prowess.

A student at Yadvindra Public School Mohali, and a resident of Ropar, Sanvi embarked on her journey to Russia on July 23, accompanied by her father Deepak Sood. The duo reached Russia on July 24 and commenced their trek towards the summit. Battling extreme weather conditions, with temperatures plummeting to -25 degrees Celsius, Sanvi displayed unwavering determination and resilience throughout her expedition.

Due to the challenging weather conditions, including heavy snowfall and storms, the original program to conquer Mount Albers was postponed from July 29 to 30. Despite these hurdles, Sanvi remained undeterred and focused on her mission. Climbing the snow-capped Mount Albers proved to be an extraordinary experience for the young mountaineer. Sanvi's achievements go beyond her individual pursuits, as she aspires to empower young girls and promote fitness awareness among them.

Her father, Deepak Sood, expressed immense pride in his daughter's accomplishments, stating that Sanvi's passion for mountaineering and her dedication to fitness are truly commendable. He emphasized that his daughter's achievements were the result of hard work, training, and a never-give-up attitude.
