CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is slated to inaugurate a state-of-the-art cattle feed plant, an ambitious project by a Holland-based company, on Sunday, October 1. This move is aimed at fortifying industrial growth and fostering economic development within the state. The foundation stone laying ceremony will mark a significant step towards boosting the industrial landscape of Punjab.

This development comes following a fruitful meeting between CM Bhagwant Mann and Marisa Gerards, the Ambassador of the Netherlands. The meeting, held at the Chief Minister's residence in Chandigarh, solidified the collaborative effort between Punjab and the Netherlands in enhancing industrial opportunities and investments.

During the discussion, CM Mann showcased Punjab as a highly favored investment destination, emphasizing the state's pro-industry government and its efficient single window system dedicated to supporting the welfare of industrialists. He underlined the state's commitment to creating a conducive environment for industrial growth, citing Punjab as a land of abundant opportunities that has attracted leading companies from across the globe.

Chief Minister Mann further expressed that entrepreneurs from the Netherlands stand to gain significantly by investing in Punjab, highlighting the state's emergence as a burgeoning industrial hub within the country. He elaborated on the favorable conditions in Punjab, including communal harmony, industrial peace, and robust industrial development, all contributing to overall growth, prosperity, and progress of industries.

In a bid to further attract investments and expertise from Dutch industrialists, CM urged the Ambassador of Holland to encourage entrepreneurs to maximize the advantages presented by Punjab, including superior infrastructure, reliable electricity supply, skilled human resources, and a favorable industrial work culture, to expand their business footprint within the state.

Welcoming Dutch industrialists, Chief Minister Mann reiterated the government's openness to new ideas and innovations that could propel industrial development in Punjab. He emphasized that the strategic goal of boosting industrialization is to counteract the trend of brain drain by creating ample employment opportunities for the youth.

In response, the Dutch Ambassador informed Chief Minister Mann that leading industrialists from Holland are already making significant investments in the state. He extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to lay the foundation stone for the cattle feed plant to be established in Rajpura at a cost of Rs 138 crore. Chief Minister Mann graciously accepted the invitation and expressed optimism that this initiative would be a significant milestone, propelling industrial development within the state.
