His cremation was performed in his ancestral village Ubhaaval in Sangrur district. A large number of people attended his last rites.

Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa latest news: Senior Akali leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s cremation was held today. Many prominent leaders attended the ceremony, including BJP leaders Preneet Kaur, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Parmjit Singh Rakha, Babu Prakash Singh Garg, and other senior figures.

Senior Akali leader and former Union Minister from Punjab, Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, passed away two days ago. He took his last breath around 5 PM at Fortis Hospital in Mohali at the age of 89.

Akali leader had been ill for some time. His cremation was performed in his ancestral village Ubhaaval in Sangrur district. A large number of people attended his last rites.

Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa was born on April 9, 1936. 

He was also a member of the Rajya Sabha from Punjab and was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2019 for his contributions to public affairs.
