"DLF Iron Lady Awards - Season 6: Honoring Women's Achievements in Chandigarh" latest news: The 'DLF Iron Lady Awards - Season 6', conducted by Rozana Spokesman, was a celebration of women empowerment and honor for the outstanding contributions of women in different spheres.
The event, at DLF City Centre, IT Park, Chandigarh, was attended by Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria as Chief Guest and Chandigarh Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla as a Special Guest. Colonel Rajeev Bharwan (Retired) enthralled the audience with his motivational anecdotes. Managing Director of Rozana Spokesman, Bibi Jagjit Kaur, and Editor Madam Nimrat Kaur bestowed honor on the women achievers.
The award ceremony identified exceptional women in six groups, such as DLF Aspiring Changemaker, Established, Empowered, Educated, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Inspiration Amplifier.
Governor Gulab Chand Kataria praised the awardees, underscoring the fact that the ceremony was not only a celebration but also an appreciation of women everywhere. He underlined the significance of women in society by taking inspiration from Mata Gujri Ji, the mother of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who had shown strength and courage even after witnessing tragic sacrifices of her young grandsons, Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, who were martyred.
The Governor appreciated the legacy of Rozana Spokesman, established by S. Joginder Singh, for its adherence to bold journalism. He appreciated the efforts of Bibi Jagjit Kaur and Madam Nimrat Kaur in continuing the vision of the publication. He also appreciated the efforts of DLF in conducting such effective programs for the last 15 years, providing encouragement to women in all walks of life.
Among the awardees, DLF Aspiring Changemaker category recognized Manreet Kaur, a Down Syndrome fighter who excels in dance, yoga, and sports; Sonali Bakhshi, India's first female taxi driver; Mrs. Soumya Thakur, India's only finalist for Miss Wheelchair World-Global Top 5; and Mrs. Kavita and Inspector Somwati.

Under the Educate category, the awardees were Dr. Damanjit Sandhu, Dr. Deepika Suri, Mrs. Vandana Godara, Mrs. Sneh Lata, and Dr. Neeru Sharma. Entrepreneur of the Year awards were given to Deepika Mahajan, Rakhi Singh, Neetu Sethi, Sharlina Kaushik, and Pallavi Luthra, and the Inspiration Amplifier Awards went to Gisela Singh, Arpita, Advocate Amandeep Kaur Sohi, Vaishnavi Bora, and Ritu Singh.
A special category, 'Men of Honor', was to bring out the achievements of men. The award winners were P.S. Negi, Ashish Chhabra, Prabhloch Singh, Munish Pundir, and M.K. Bhatia.
The event was sponsored by various corporate houses, such as Fortis Hospital, Rana Hospital, Sundar Jewelers, Navigators, Nova IVF, HDFC Bank, Ease My Trip, Nits Beauty Lab and Company, Pro-Ultimate Gym, Torque Pharma, Dr. Batra's, McDonald's, Tynimo, Olivia Cosmetics, and Ashman. Their representatives were also awarded.
On completion of the course, Bibi Jagjit Kaur and Madam Nimrat Kaur congratulated the winners and encouraged women to continue making positive contributions to society.
