CEO Punjab orders strict action against persons filing false complaint on letterhead of Shiromani Akali Dal

Chandigarh, March 30: The Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, Dr. S. Karuna Raju today issued orders to the DGP, Punjab directing him to initiate speedy action against the persons filing false complaint against 2 IAS officers belonging to Punjab on the letterhead of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Disclosing this, a spokesperson of the office of CEO, Punjab said that an unidentified person filed a complaint on the copy of the SAD letterhead bearing the signatures of  party president. The complaint was received at the office of the CEO, Punjab on 23rd March, 2019 and action was set into motion on it.

The spokesperson further divulged that when written communication was sent to the office of SAD with regard to the complaint then the party feigned ignorance about having made any such complaint. Acting tough on this, the DGP, Punjab has been directed to thoroughly probe the matter and take necessary action.
