The police have registered a murder case against the accused: Bobby, Kulwinder, and their father, Labh Singh.

Punjab latest news today, Panchayat Member Murder in Bathinda: A shocking incident occurred in Bathinda, Punjab, where Jagtar Singh, a recently elected panchayat member of Burj Sema village, was brutally murdered by three village men wielding sharp weapons. Singh, 50, was elected as Panch without opposition in recent district elections.

The police have registered a murder case against the accused: Bobby, Kulwinder, and their father, Labh Singh. Two of them, Bobby and Labh Singh, are currently in custody. According to SHU Karamjit Singh, Labh Singh had hoped to secure the position for himself and reportedly bore resentment toward Jagtar following the election outcome.

On Saturday evening around 7:30 pm, Labh Singh, alongside his sons, allegedly confronted Jagtar Singh and attacked him fatally before fleeing the scene. Severely injured, Jagtar Singh was rushed to AIIMS hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries on Sunday evening.
