Governor offered prayers for the ‘Chardikala’ of the people of Punjab and Chandigarh

Gurpurab 2023 News: On the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab 2023, the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which reverberates with spiritual significance, the Governor of Punjab, Banwari Lal Purohit, paid obeisance at the Gurdwara situated in Sector 8C, Chandigarh.

In a gesture of profound respect and solidarity with the people of the State and UT Chandigarh, the governor offered prayers for the ‘Chardikala’ of the people of Punjab and Chandigarh. The Governor not only extended his reverence but also partook in the sacred 'langar', sharing a meal with the devout 'sangat' (congregation) present at the Gurudwara. 

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception and spiritual experience, the Governor emphasized the importance of Gurpurab in fostering harmony, compassion, and unity among all communities. He reiterated the need to uphold the values propagated by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, emphasizing equality, selfless service, and compassion for all.
