The video was initially posted by social media user Alok Jain who garnered over 120,000 views on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, locals can be seen positioning the replica of the iconic American monument on the building’s rooftop, with a crane near the construction site.

The video has garnered several hilarious reactions from social media users. One user said, “Must be a water tank. You will find airplanes, SUVs, and all sorts of shaped water tanks in Punjab.” Another user commented, “Ideally, they should have built Niagara Falls so that Canada is not missed.” A third user said, “Now people can visit this house to see the Statue of Liberty, no need to fly to New York.”

Earlier, in March an NRI named Dalbir Singh, who is living in Canada, built a replica of the Statue of Liberty on a house roof in the Jalandhar district of Punjab.
