One person died due to heat wave in the state. In Tarn Taran, a man sitting outside Sri Darbar Sahib died. He could not be identified.

Heat waveThe deceased is said to be 40 years old. On Tuesday, Fazilka, Barnala and Moga were the hottest. The temperature was recorded at 46 degrees.

Bathinda, Faridkot, Sangrur and Tarn Taran had a low of 45 degrees Celsius. According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, extreme heat is expected in 17 districts of the state on May 27.
