Jalandhar: The heat wave continues in the state. The maximum temperature was recorded at 46 degrees on Tuesday. The minimum temperature was between 25 and 26 degrees Celsius.

One person died due to heat wave in the state. In Tarn Taran, a man sitting outside Sri Darbar Sahib died. He could not be identified.

Heat waveHeat waveThe deceased is said to be 40 years old. On Tuesday, Fazilka, Barnala and Moga were the hottest. The temperature was recorded at 46 degrees.

Bathinda, Faridkot, Sangrur and Tarn Taran had a low of 45 degrees Celsius. According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, extreme heat is expected in 17 districts of the state on May 27.

At the same time 5 districts Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Ropar and Mohali may get some relief from the heat. If we talk about last year, on May 26, the mercury in the state was 39 degrees.

According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, May 27 will be similarly hot. On Thursday, some districts of Punjab are likely to receive showers with clouds and wind. Such weather is likely to continue till May 30.
