Two companies cheated by showing gold bills

Punjab Bogus Bill Fraud Exposed Latest News Today: The Excise and Taxation Department of the Punjab government has exposed 303 such firms or companies that committed fraud of Rs 4,044 crores by showing bogus bills related to the purchase and sale of iron. 206 of these firms were registered with the Center while 11 were related to Punjab and 86 to other states. These companies were running from many areas including Ludhiana, and Mandi Gobindgarh. Notably, These firms were registered only some time back.

This claim has been made by Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema in a press conference. He said that the registration of all the firms in Punjab has been cancelled and a case has been registered against 11 people. While the Center is also going to take action, Rs 89 crores have been saved by directly blocking the firms registered with the Center. Now, the registration of all the firms will be done through an Aadhaar card so that there is no fake registration.

Two companies cheated by showing gold bills

Similarly, fake gold bills worth Rs 336 crore have been caught from a firm in Amritsar. They do not know where the gold was bought and sold. A fine of Rs 20 crore has been imposed on it.

On the other hand, the second company is from Ludhiana. It has cheated Rs 424 crore. A tax of Rs 25 crore will be charged on the company. He told that a big theft has been caught. Money will be recovered from them.

Fraud of Rs 533 crore by making servants, the owners

Finance Minister Harpal Cheema said that 68 such firms have also been caught whose registrations were in the name of others. In this, the owners were made employees or servants working in the company. The documents of the employees were misused while those people had no information about this. Fraud of Rs 533 crore has been caught in such cases.
