Chandigarh Traffic Police issues advisory ahead of farmers' protest news: While the farmers have been continuously staging protests across different districts of Punjab, the Chandigarh Police has issued a traffic advisory for the commuters. As per the advisory, Airport Road near Faidan Village will be closed from November 25 to November 28.
For this, Chandigarh Police has advised to use other routes. It is pertinent to mention that the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha and the Bharatiya Kisan Union had warned of a protest march in Chandigarh from November 25 to November 28. The protesting farmers have been accusing the Centre that the promises made by them have not been fulfilled.
Even the cases registered during the farmers' protest have not been withdrawn so far. Therefore, the farmers have announced to stage a protest against the central government.
In the meanwhile, the Chandigarh Traffic Police stated that "keeping in view the law and order situation from 25th November to 28th November, the road will be closed and traffic will be diverted at the given road stretch locations.

Commuters are advised to adopt an alternative route, keep patience & cooperate with police.
The following alternative routes can be used to travel from Chandigarh to Mohali/Punjab:-
?Commuters going towards International Airport, Aerocity, Bestech side, Punjab are advised to take a right from Faidan Barrier/Junction No. 63 and then left from the slip road, Chowk Sector-46/47/48/49/Junction No. 62 straight towards Airport Road, Mohali.
?Commuters going to Patiala, Sangrur, and Sirsa sides from Chandigarh are advised to go from Tribune Chowk towards the Zirakpur side.
