A 25-year-old youth died after he was reportedly hit by a car on the Zirakpur-Panchkula overbridge. The deceased, Shivkesh Pal, who actually hailed from UP, had come to Baltana a week ago to meet his uncle.
As per the reports, the incident happened
when the victim, along with his uncle, was coming towards Zirakpur from
the Panchkula side. When the duo reached the Zirakpur-Panchkula
overbridge, a car reportedly hit the victim and injured him badly.
The driver of the car
took the victim to the GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh, but he succumbed to
his injury on the way to the hospital.
The police said Shivkesh had come to meet his
uncle from UP at Baltana and was currently staying with them. They both
had gone to Panchkula for some work on Friday.
The police have registered a case against the driver
under various Sections of the IPC at the Dhakoli police post.
